I’m starting this blog to talk about governance, risk and compliance. This is an evolving domain. The term governance, risk and compliance coined by PWC only a few years ago.
Surfing the web you will find that there are many resources and professional associations that meet the need for sharing and comparing best-practices in the financial services sector. However, to discover what’s happening in other sectors is actually reasonably hard. There is also a strong US bias to much of the currently available material. I’m working in Europe in non-financial sectors, so I hope to deliver a different perspective.
So, expect some reviews of publications and books, links to blog posts, discussions about technology, standards and anything else that seems pertinent to this domain.
I’m really at the start of my learning with GRC, even though I’ve been watching since the days of its evolution from enterprise risk management. Perhaps the readers of this blog can help each other drive forwards understanding and development of this area through comments and posts right here @ graceunpacked.
